The MacArthur Foundation supports creative people and effective institutions committed to building a more just, verdant, and peaceful world. In addition to selecting the MacArthur Fellows, the Foundation works to defend human rights, advance global conservation and security, address population and reproductive health, make cities better places, and understand how technology is affecting children and society.

The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation has supported Action Health Incorporated’s programming since 1992 and current funding is directed at enabling our organization to:

1. Strengthen the quality assurance capacity of the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) and staff of colleges of education to ensure effective pre-service level implementation of the Family Life and Emerging Health Issues (FLEHI) across the 6 geopolitical zones;
2. Catalyze an enabling environment for youths’ access to SRH services in Nigeria by building the capacity of the Federal Ministry of Health, Adolescent Health Unit’s staff and mobilizing relevant stakeholders nationally for youth-friendly services provision; and
3. Sustaining access to co-curricular sexuality education programmes for young people within Lagos State.
