Welcome to the Virtual Sexuality School where learning is fun, relaxed and interactive. Often, people have confused sex and sexuality to mean the same thing, and for this reason, many adults do not approve that young people should be taught about sexuality. Sex and sexuality in reality mean two different things. SEXUALITY is the expression of our maleness or femaleness, i.e. how we express ourselves either as males or female, while sex could mean one's gender or the act of sexual intercourse between two people.

Sexuality education is a life-long process of acquiring information and forming attitudes, beliefs and values about identity, relationship and intimacy. Sexuality education has many positive outcomes, for instance, it teaches young people to maintain personal hygiene, encourages them to communicate more and better with their parents, empowers them to make informed choices, teaches them about the changes around them, and makes them aware that they have to take responsibility for the consequences of their behaviour.

You will be taking lessons on issues related to growing up and your sexuality– puberty, sex, interpersonal relationships, sexually transmitted diseases, personal skills, etc. The course has been designed to give you all the facts you want to know in simple, unambiguous language to make learning easier for you. On completion of each subject, you will have acquired all the knowledge you need in that area, and at the end of the course, you would have learned all you need to know to negotiate your adolescent years and emerge an informed, healthy adult.
