This includes translating and analyzing FGD data to identify key themes, barriers, and opportunities, while ensuring all outputs are well-documented and accessible for stakeholders.

Scope of Work

  • Analysis of FGDs Collected Across Six Geopolitical Zones: Conduct qualitative and thematic analysis of FGD data from Nigeria’s six zones (North Central, North East, North West, South East, South South, and South West). Identify cross-cutting themes related to out-of-school CSE implementation, such as access challenges, community perceptions, gender dynamics, and policy implications.
  • Ensure all work adheres to ethical standards, including data privacy and informed consent protocols.

Deliverables

  • Translated FGD transcripts
  • A comprehensive analysis report on FGDs from the six geopolitical zones, including thematic summaries, key insights, and recommendations
  • Final manuscript(s) for knowledge management, such as a consolidated report or policy brief on out-of-school CSE implementation that can be published in a journal
  • All deliverables in editable formats (e.g., Word, PDF) with references and appendices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Social Sciences, Public Health, Education, Knowledge Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in qualitative research, data analysis, and knowledge management, preferably in the sexual and reproductive health or education sectors.

  • Demonstrated expertise in thematic analysis of FGD data, with familiarity with tools like NVivo or ATLAS.ti.
  • Strong understanding of Nigeria’s sociocultural context, especially regarding youth education and sexuality.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Prior experience working on projects funded by international organizations (e.g. UNICEF, WHO) is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Duration and Timeline

  • The consultancy is expected to start from December 1-30, 2025
  • Part-time or full-time engagement, depending on mutual agreement.
  • Remote work is acceptable, with potential for virtual meetings.
