2018 Review and 2019 Planning Meeting on Ogun State Home Grown School Feeding Programme – January, 2019

Action Health Incorporated (AHI) in collaboration with the Ogun State Home Grown School Feeding programme (HGSFP) and with funding from MacArthur Foundation held a review/planning meeting to review project activities conducted in 2018 and deliberate on ways to strengthen programme implementation in 2019.  The meeting had in attendance the four (4) heads of Community Based Organizations (CBOs) undertaking monitoring activities on behalf of AHI in the four focal LGAs, representative of the Ogun State HGSFP team and AHI Team Members. 

Specific Objectives of the meeting were:

  • Review project activities conducted in 2018 on the Home Grown School Feeding Programme
  • Propose strategies to further strengthen programme implementation in 2019
  • Plan for 2019 Programme Activities. 

A brief overview of project activities in 2018 was conducted after which CBO heads took turns to review the activities carried out in 2018 under the following heading, while highlighting best practices, Success Stories, Lessons Learnt and challenges faced during monitoring activities. Recommendations and way forward in improving monitoring activities and overall programme delivery were also proposed.

The meeting was concluded with a presentation of the workplan for 2019 as well as review of the monitoring tools being used for the project.
